A Living Room Bloom: European Starling + Favorite Flowers

One of my favorite things about being a mural artist is helping people bring more beauty and personality into their everyday spaces. This residential mural was such a joy to create.

The client had recently fallen in love with the European Starling, a bird that is often overlooked but full of charm, shimmering color, and personality. Pairing this new favorite bird with their beloved flowers felt like the perfect way to blend nature with meaning.

The end result? A bold, oversized starling perched among a field of lush, vibrant blooms that completely transforms the living room. Every time the family steps into the space, they are greeted by a wall that feels alive, bursting with color, movement, and story.

For me, this mural was pure magic to paint. There is something special about combining birds and florals on a grand scale. It feels both timeless and fresh. Honestly, I would love to see more giant bird and flower murals in homes. They bring a sense of wonder and joy that a framed piece could never quite capture.
