I just finished my first 1/100 "Wings of the World" murals, the House Finch, now proudly located in McKinney Texas! To celebrate, let's go on a field trip to The Heard museum for a bird walk and sketchbook session!  

First, we will go on a on a one hour guided walk at The Heard. The Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary is a 289-acre nature conservancy located in the Blackland Prairie Ecological Region of central Collin County. Over 220 birds species have been observed at the Heard and 61 species have been documented nesting at Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary. Bring your binoculars and cameras!

After our walk we will go INSIDE and sit down to work in our sketchbooks! I will also provide a 5x7 watercolor card with a House Finch pre-sketched on it so you can color it in!
